  "Rowing - A Full Body Workout"

   

Indoor exercise rowing machines offer superb aerobic workout and strength conditioning.  Whether you're young or old, already fit or getting fit, rowing is a complete exercise giving you a full body workout. 

Rowing is considered to be a perfect exercise as it delivers an exhilarating workout but doesn't take a physical toll on your body.  Little or no impact is created as the rowing motion is seamless.  Those who have joint problems or bad knees, for example, will find this an ideal workout.  It is especially recommended for senior citizens as virtually no stress will be placed on the joints.  Rowing machines are suitable for people of different shapes and sizes.

The rowing machine is an ideal exercise equipment for losing weight.  Because it exercises larger muscles in both the upper and lower body, there is great calorie burning potential.  The rhythmic style of rowing helps the body switch into a fat burning zone.  After about 10 minutes of rowing your body is burning fat constantly and therefore it's effective for losing weight.  Less workout time on a rowing exercise machine is required to burn calories than on a stationary exercise bike.  You could save valuable time rowing for 25 minutes as opposed to riding a stationary bike for 40 minutes and burn about the same amount of calories.
