 "Aerobics for Cardiovascular Conditioning"

 

 

 

 

A complete aerobic program will enhance your long term health, wellbeing and help you live longer.  Fitness through aerobic activity on a regular basis is extremely important for your heart.  Through regular exercise, your cardiovascular and respiratory systems will be strengthened and your heart more resistant to stress, heart disease and circulation problems. 

Your body's aerobic system includes your heart, muscles, lungs and blood vessels.  Aerobics is exercise done at low to moderate intensity without stopping. It increases your heart rate and you breathe harder for an extended period of time.  Your aerobic capacity is improved because this increases your body's ability to take in and transport more oxygen to your cells and muscles.  As your heart beats faster, it increases the blood flow to your muscles and then back to your lungs. 

Your two vital organs, namely heart and lungs, get stronger and healthier.  Blood pressure is lowered, blood fats like cholesterol and triglycerides are decreased and risk for blocked arteries is reduced.  Body fat is lost as well.

Any aerobic exercise is one which lasts at least 20 minutes without stopping, makes you breathe deeply, but not out of breath, and uses muscles in the thighs and buttocks.  Good examples are walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, aerobic dancing and hiking.  It is always advisable to get a medical checkup before pursuing any aerobic activity. 

Fitness through aerobics can be achieved by young and old alike.  Maintaining a regular exercise program as you get older will keep your muscles strong and help you avoid fractures and falls.  Aerobic exercise can boost your mood, increase your stamina and help manage stress so you will be more relaxed after a hard day's work.  You will get a lot of good benefits if you do aerobics on a regular basis. 

So, get moving, keep healthy and fit with a complete aerobic program of your choice.
